BOCA RATON — Florida Atlantic turned the page on its pre-season camp as the Owls began putting their gameplan in place for their season-opener at No. 11 Texas on Aug. 30.
"Coming off a tough scrimmage, they came out and were attentive," FAU coach Howard Schnellenberger said. "They look forward to this game against Texas."
After a single practice today, the Owls will hold a situational scrimmage Saturday to get ready for the Longhorns.
Doctors reports on the injuries to starting center Nick Paris (foot) and starting right guard Kevin Miller (knee) are encouraging, Schnellenberger said.
"The two guys we're all concerned about are not seriously injured and are questionable for the game," Schnellenberger said.
Miller and Paris were injured on the same play Wednesday.
